From a background in engineering and hydrogen electrolysers, the founders, Dr Nigel Williamson and Keith Downes share a passion for renewable technology and sustainable energy solutions.
Engineering Director
Dr Nigel Williamson
An experienced businessman and development engineer holding over 210 worldwide patents for manufacturing technologies and products that improve efficiency, cost of manufacture and reduce environmental pollution. He has vast experience in the automotive, mass transit and aerospace industries, having collaborated with NASA, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Moog, Rolls Royce, Alston, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, VW/Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, TRW, Bosch, Delphi, Case, Deere and Terex in his role as president and director of operations for the US division of Dunlop Hydraulic Hose Division.
Nigel served five years as Chief Engineer for ITM Power Plc in Sheffield heading up a team of design engineers and scientists developing and commercialising their PEM electrolyser technologies.
Nigel is co-founder of Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH), responsible for the development of novel electrolyser technology. CPH joined the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in February 2022.

Keith Downes
With experience in a hydrogen start up, latterly becoming CPH2, Keith has worked for prominent companies including GSK and Philips Electronics.
He has a proven track record in building companies in preparation for flotation and sale, exemplified by his roles in LINE Communications and The Learning Technologies Group (LTG).
Keith’s expertise spans operations, managing large-scale programs, and sales and marketing.

Heidi Tomlin
Passionate about sustainability, Heidi has over 25 years experience in business management and communications with an MSc in Strategic Leadership.
